"The
Apple Creek UMC Tutoring Program was started in 1993 by
Loretta Hardman and six tutors. The program is entirely
a volunteer project working with Apple Creek Elementary
School grades one through three. We have had as many as
22 tutors including substitutes and there is no cost to
the parents or to the school."

"We meet with the
students one day a week after school for one hour, which
includes a nutritious snack provided by the
congregation. It is a one on one teaching experience
with good communication between the teacher and the
tutor."
"We
are proud of this program which not only assists with
the development of the children in our community, but
offers blessings to the tutors themselves." Carol
